ccording to data as issued by China Packaging Federation, China’s packaging industry has seen rapid growth in the past 35 years, and the total output value of the packaging industry has increased from 7.2 billion Yuan in 1980 to 1628 billion Yuan in 2015.
China Packaging Federation drafted the proposal on industrial development planning according to the 13th Five Year Plan and designed the overall objective on industrial development regarding green packaging, safe packaging, intelligent packaging and other fields. According the proposal, during the 13th Five Year Plan period, the focus of the packaging industry will be the development of green packaging, safe packaging, intelligent packaging as well as trying all means to put into place a new industrial form featuring environmental-friendly, resource saving, cyclic utilization, and sustainable development. Additionally, the packaging industry will be focusing on the development of six major projects such as packaging material greening and informatization of the packaging industry.
